You’ll work side by side with well-seasoned industry professionals in our brigade-style and European island kitchens, learning classic cooking techniques and methods with a modern twist for today’s palate. In addition to the culinary skills themselves, you will also learn the importance of the management side of the culinary world. Instructors teach business aspects of the field and how to manage a successful kitchen or restaurant. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to flourish in the fast-paced food service industry.

    • Seasoned culinary professionals work with you in kitchens equipped with industry-standard equipment, tools and utensils needed to prep food masterpieces.
    • Master advanced cooking skills like contemporary food reception, presentation and knife skills.
    • Enter the world of modern gastronomy through the newest, cooking methods such as SousVide, thermal immersion, and manipulating scientific techniques to create food with depth and dimension.
    • Perfect your skills inside Café Protégé, our student-operated restaurant that pastry and culinary students work in to prep, cook and serve food to the public.
    • Experience cuisine from around the world, and study their ingredients, flavors and cultures.

    Culinary Management

    International Baking & Pastry

    The International Baking and Pastry Program, offers a broad array of baking and pastry theory and practical experiences necessary for success in the food service industry. All courses emphasize laboratory activities, with extensive periods of hands-on practical experience in professionally equipped culinary laboratories.

    Italian Culinary Arts

    The dream of training to become a chef in Italy can come true. Lincoln’s Italian Culinary Arts training gives you the foundation to theory and practice in this exciting food service industry. From delicious sauces and soups, to the art of fresh pasta making, Italian cuisine is the showpiece of this program. And best of all, your training will take you to Italy to experience it firsthand.

    • Hands-on training takes place inside our European island-style kitchens equipped with tools, machines and appliances for students to create beautiful dishes.
    • Through a careful balance of theory and practical application of culinary arts, chefs-in-training gain professional development.
    • Application of cooking techniques is taught by seasoned instructors with food service industry experience.
    • Students are shown how to properly use and care for culinary tools, and practice technical skills such as knife skills, baking and pastry techniques and food presentation.
    • Study the history and landscape of Italian cuisines, and gain a beginners understanding in speaking Italian, which will come in handy during your externship.
    • Finally, head to the place where it all began, Italy, for a memorable externship working in the country’s hospitality and restaurant industry!

    Conveniently located between Baltimore and Washington, DC, this Baltimore area school’s dedicated staff and faculty make the Columbia Campus of Lincoln Culinary Institute a smart choice.

  • Hartford

    The Hartford campus of Lincoln Culinary Institute, a division of Lincoln Technical Institute, is located in the Lincoln Education Center at 85 Sigourney Street in Hartford, CT – just minutes off I-84. The campus sits on a main artery into and out of the downtown area, and is easily reachable through public transportation. The main building has dormitory style living space with seven modern teaching kitchens and a large production kitchen as well as two amphitheaters, a computer lab and a learning resource center. The Hartford campuses of Lincoln Culinary Institute, Lincoln Technical institute, and Lincoln College of New England are all housed within this location.

    At the Shelton campus, Lincoln Culinary Institute is equipped with professional kitchens, dining facilities and classrooms. The common student areas, such as the library, computer lab and student lounge, make this technical school a pleasant and rewarding place to learn.

  • Suffield

    The Suffield campus of Lincoln Culinary Institute, a division of Lincoln Technical Institute and a branch of the Hartford, CT campus, is located at 1760 Mapleton Avenue in Suffield, CT off interstate I-91, a short ride from Bradley International Airport, and only a 1/2 mile from Six Flags New England. The campus offers training in professional kitchens as well as a formal dining room, where culinary students serve formal meals in classical European style to other students, guests, faculty, and staff as part of the educational process. This campus has a beautiful environment for career training and social life with wireless broadband available, a gymnasium and basketball courts.

    The West Palm Beach campus of Lincoln Culinary Institute, a division of Lincoln College of Technology (LCT) is adjacent to the LCT, located at 2410 Metrocentre Boulevard in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Lincoln Culinary Institute is nationally recognized, and provides a comprehensive mixture of knowledge and theory along with an exciting “hands-on” experience. Students will learn alongside professional chefs and foodservice managers in production kitchens, enhancing their opportunity for employment upon graduation.
